Our association has provided all the football officials for the American Youth Football League since the league's inception in 1996. Our officials are registered members, and tested annually on National Federation rules knowledge by the Florida High School Athletic Association. They are also members of the Broward Football Officials Association, and regularly officiate high school level games in Broward County.
In order to officiate high school football games in Broward County, The Broward County School Board requires that high school officials pass a level 2 background check that includes fingerprinting. We provide tackle officials to 16 AYFL clubs that each field teams in 7
separate weight classes weekly. The AYFL is the premier tackle youth football league in South Florida.

Training ClassesIf you are interested in becoming a football official we will be offering free training classes beginning in July. These classes will be a combination of classroom study, and on-field instruction. The program will last four weeks and prepare you to work AYFL games, and to successfully take and pass the Florida High School Athletic Association certification exam. This program is also the first step needed towards becoming a registered high school football official.
